I love using Sandalwood essential oil. It’s calming, sensual, and stays with you throughout the day. Every time I work with it, the oil seems to linger on my skin for hours.
What does Sandalwood smell like?
To me, Sandalwood smells very earthy and a little like incense. Others describe it as a woody smell with a rich and sweet aroma. It almost smells like cologne that an older man might wear.
What can I use Sandalwood for?

Bergamot, black pepper, chamomile, cistus, clary sage, clove, geranium, grapefruit, fennel, frankincense, jasmine, lavender, lemon, mandarin, myrrh, neroli, oakmoss, orange, palmarosa, patchouli, rose, rosewood, tuberose, vetiver, ylang ylang (source: Mountain Rose Herbs )
Sandalwood is a wonderful and relaxing essential oil. It is antiviral, antifungal, relieves inflammation, anxiety, and muscle spasms. If you are looking for an essential oil that will help keep you calm, then look no further.
Please note: I use only small amounts of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) Essential Oil because it is extremely expensive and because it is endangered. Australian Sandalwood is a suitable substitute for Indian Sandalwood (Mountain Rose Herbs).
