New Body Challenge: Week 2
It’s week 2 and I’m still sore upon waking up. It’s really difficult for me to get down the stairs. I’m thinking that I might need to add some more exercise into the mix. Perhaps some cardio. Eh, we’ll get to that another day.
I haven’t lost any weight, I’m still holding steady in the mid-180’s.
I’m noticing that since cutting out gluten, I’ve been eating a lot more dairy. I do buy organic, pasture raised dairy products, but I’m also concerned that I may have a diary sensitivity since the gluten free hasn’t been helping any of my joint pain.
Anyway, some really interesting updates since I last blogged… I received a copy of my blood work. While my TSH levels are great, my Thyroglobulin Antibodies (Tgab) level is at 50 (the reference range is
Needless to say, I am very concerned with my thyroid antibodies levels. They are definitely way above the normal range, and I am currently taking a medication for my hypothyroidism, so they shouldn’t be. These levels can indicate a possible autoimmune disease (Hashimoto’s), but all the research that I’ve done shows levels much higher than mine.
I’ve heard that your thyroid hormone levels can go kind of crazy after pregnancy, so I’m hoping that’s the reason fo all of these crazy numbers.
I made an appointment with my naturopathic doctor (because my PCP wasn’t at all concerned with these results, and I can’t get an appointment with an endocronologist for another two months!)
I’ll keep you updated! Prayers appreciated.
