When Baby V was just seven months old, he popped out four teeth! I had no idea what was going on until I took a washcloth and felt his gums. Poor little guy got all four teeth in the same week.
We’ve always been a big fan of natural teething methods (see my Natural Teething Tips). However, Baby V is not crazy about having things in his mouth.
He always loved playing with my necklaces, so I began searching for the perfect teething necklace. I tried a few different types of necklaces and then I stumbled upon The Vintage Honey Shop. Not only did they have the perfect style of necklaces, but they have so many different prints!
Their gorgeous fabrics and beautiful design are perfect for any outfit or occasion. I plan on buying some of these lovelies for the next baby shower I’ll be attending.
The two amazing ladies behind the Vintage Honey Shop, Jennifer and Melissa, are not only best friends, but sister-in-laws as well! These two put in long hours in addition to their already busy lives. Their hard work shines bright and they craft some of the most gorgeous teething necklaces I’ve ever seen.
I am so happy to be reviewing one of their necklaces and even more happy to be giving $20 shop credit to a lucky reader!
(Note: this review expresses my honest opinions. I was not compensated for this review but did receive a teething necklace for the review.)
When I first opened up my package I was so impressed by the detail! Right down to the adorable bee pin! Talk about great branding… If I was giving this to someone, I wouldn’t have to do a thing because the necklace was already wrapped so beautifully!
Once I opened up my package, I was greeted with a cheery orange necklace, just the perfect pick-me-up needed for the dead of winter. The fabric was stunning and I was in love.
A quick hand wash, and I was ready to go. I scooped up Baby V and introduced the necklace to him. As I said before, he’s very particular about what goes in his mouth, but he really seemed to like the necklace. We’ve been using it for a month now and I’d definitely say he’s a fan.
The necklace is made of fabric and wooden beads which is just perfect for playing and chewing.
Even if your baby doesn’t like to put things in their mouth, this necklace is wonderful to keep busy hands occupied during feedings or while babywearing. As you can see, Baby V can get quite grumpy and it helps to have something on hand to distract him.
Also, I’m sure most of you know that I’m a huge fan of babywearing! I rarely put Baby V in a cart when we go grocery shopping. It’s really nice to have a teething necklace during times like these because you never know when baby will become bored.
My favorite part about Vintage Honey Shop’s necklaces are that they have adjustable lengths. This makes it the ideal necklace for babywearing because you can make it shorter or longer depending on your needs. We’re a fan of the front carry, so I like to wear my necklace short. However, when I’m feeding Baby V, I like to wear the necklace longer so he can play.
Another thing to note about Vintage Honey Shop’s products: they will last! Baby V loves to play and really enjoys “throwing” our necklace. He’s quite an active little guy and pulls, tugs, and shakes pretty much everything he is in contact with. We’ve had no rips, tears, or even wear to report on our necklace (which is pretty amazing as he’s already broken 2 different ones!).
My only problem with this shop is that they keep posting pictures of new prints that I want to spend all my money on!
Seriously though, these necklaces are great and I would highly recommend them to any new (or old) mama. No baby required because they look wonderful with or without a teething child. I plan on wearing mine long after the baby stage.
