Every year I tell my husband that I don’t need anything for Mother’s Day…. every year he insists on getting me “something”.
Truly, I don’t need expensive jewelry. I’ll probably forget to water hanging baskets. And a day at the spa is so expensive and temporary. For me, I’d rather have something that will last more than a few weeks and that won’t break the bank.
Well this year, I wanted to give him some practical gift ideas that would be just as useful as they were special. In my list, I’ve included something for every time of mom. Something for the babywearer, the chef, the fashionista, and the interior decorator in your life.
Here is my list of 5 useful and purposeful gifts for Mom on Mother’s Day. I’m sure she’d be delighted with any of these.

With six carrying positions and amazing breathable mesh, this carrier is perfect for summer vacations and trips to the zoo. Plus, that berry color is absolutely gorgeous! Now I realize that this isn’t exactly “just” for me, but it is my favorite carrier and it is something that I will use (likely everyday!) .
I am in desperate need of a new diaper bag. The one we bought when Baby V was born is quite worn out. Plus, now that he is bigger I have more toys to carry. My favorite part about this diaper bag is that it is wipe-able and can be worn over the shoulder or strapped to a diaper bag. Plus, the cute print makes it more “mom” style.
When you have kids, you have toys. If you are anything like us, it’s a scramble to get all the toys gathered up before company comes. That’s why I love solutions like this storage bench. It’s stylish, looks awesome, and hides kids toys expertly. Plus, the extra seating is always great when you have a crowd coming over.
I’ve never been good at slicing things into small pieces. Now that Baby V is eating solids, it is important that I cut things small enough for him, but I have to be quick too. This chopper is perfect for fruits, veggies, and even onions. It’s definitely on my list this year. Plus, with all the different settings, it makes meal prep super fast.
I love clothes, but I HATE to shop. When I do shop, I look for comfortable, causal outfits that can still be stylish. That’s why casual dresses are a go-ti closet item for me. They always look good and are ready in an instant.
For me, an easily washable, wrinkle free material is a must. Plus I need something that can hold up to spit up, stains, and general baby grime. I love this cute print dress from TOMS and it is perfect for any summer occasion.
So there you have it. These are my top 5 gifts that I would
