It’s no surprise that I love LILLEbaby carriers. We started with a Stone All Seasons and have loved that carrier so much in the year it’s been at our home.
These carriers are well made, super durable, and highly functional. As structured carriers go, they are my absolute favorite. I probably wouldn’t get anything done without our LILLE, so it’s safe to say that I use this carrier daily.
Not too long ago, LILLEbaby came out with their newest embossed line of carriers that are absolutely GORGEOUS! They come in four different colors (Citrus, Coral, Navy and Teal), each with their own signature embossed design.
I’m a big fan of Coral and Teal, but I had to go with Navy on this one! Baby V has dark blue eyes and I knew the color of this carrier would compliment them so well.
Not to mention it will still match with everything!
I ordered our Embossed when it was released and have been trying it out everywhere since it’s arrived. We’ve been on walks, out shopping, and to our local county fair. Since it’s summer, I haven’t seen how well the embossed does during winter, so look for an update on winter wearing sometime in January.
So, here is my own, honest, unsolicited opinion of the LILLEbaby Embossed Carrier in comparison to the All Seasons.

All Seasons: The LILLEbaby All Seasons is made with an inner mesh liner and an outer cotton layer. The straps are all cotton (and padded) while the waistband also has an inner mesh liner and outer cotton layer. It feels durable and rugged and can definitely take a beating (or chewing in our case). The panel is also lined for extra comfort.
I’m using the All Seasons Stone for this comparison, and ours has held up to stains and wear really well! I’ve also washed it several times with no fading or fraying of the materials.
Embossed: The LILLEbaby Embossed Navy is made of a microsuede interior and a microcloth exterior. The straps and the waistband are all microcloth (and padded). It feels like high quality active-wear on the outside while the inside is smooth and soft. There is some serious #LILLEsleepydust in this thing!
The Embossed lacks the padded panel that the All Seasons has, but it makes up for it in its lightweight feel and super soft texture.
My favorite feature is the gorgeous embossed pattern on the exterior which just screams luxury. It makes me feel fancy, even if I’m just grocery shopping. Plus, it is the perfect accessory for any wedding or formal event when I need to wear my son.
Here are some images of how the fabrics compare:
All Seasons: The most striking difference between the All Seasons and the Embossed is that the All Seasons has a zip down mesh panel that allows extra airflow for warm days, and can be zipped up to help trap the heat when you need it on cooler days. It is also lined in the same mesh fabric (similar to the Airflow if you are familiar).
The All Seasons has a smaller zipped pocket on the panel.
Embossed: The Embossed has a larger pocket (open on the top and then a zippered compartment on the side). It lacks padding materials in the panel area, which makes it slightly cooler (in my opinion) than the All Seasons. It is also slightly lighter than the All Seasons for these reasons.
Both of these carriers have:
- 6 carrying positions
- Lumbar support
- Two way straps
- Neck support
These are all standard features on the newer LILLEbaby carriers, which means that you can’t really go wrong. However, if you are looking for lightweight style and softness, I’d go with the Embossed.
If you’d rather have a more rugged, super durable carrier that is great year round, I’d go with the All Seasons.
If you can’t decide, you can always get them both like I did!
