Over the past month, I’ve been using some fantastic products from Raise Them Well in our home.
Normally I make my own soap, but I can’t right now because I don’t make soap while pregnant. Finding a safe and natural alternative has been such a difficult task because I am really, really strict about what goes into my soaps and cosmetics. I always choose products without parabens, sulfates, fragrance, and other chemicals on my no-no list.
Since discovering Raise Them Well’s soaps, I’m not sure that I will go back to soap making after this pregnancy! Their products are made in the USA and contain only necessary and natural ingredients. I couldn’t make them any better if I tried.
Today I’ll be reviewing two Raise Them Well Products: Baby Belly Balm and Foaming Baby Wash and Shampoo. I did receive these products free of charge in exchange for a review but all opinions are solely my own.

Toxic Free Foaming Baby Wash and Shampoo
Before stumbling upon Raise Them Well, I had never heard of a Toxic Free certification. However, after reading this detailed post on what being “Toxic Free” means, I’ll certainly add this to my list of qualifications for natural products.
Basically, many products can be labeled “organic” and “natural,” but still contain harmful chemicals. The Toxic Free Certification assures consumers that products are truly free from harmful chemicals. This is done by the Toxic Free Foundation. They make sure products are derived 100% from natural ingredients safe for the environment and for your family. Now onto the actual soap! Here’s what it looks like coming out of the bottle:
If you are an ingredient reader like I am, you get pretty upset when reviews don’t post the actual ingredient list, so here they are:
While you may not know what some of those ingredients are, you can be certain that they are 100% derived from natural chemicals because they are certified Toxin Free.
Some of my favorite things about it:
- It’s foaming (what 2 year old doesn’t love foaming soap??)
- No tears
- Doesn’t need water! (That’s right, if you don’t get all the soap out, no worries!)
- Just 5 ingredients!!
Baby V (who isn’t really a baby anymore since he’s 2 now!), absolutely loved this soap. He has very sensitive skin and is very fair, but this soap actually helped to clear up some redness issues he was having. It also works amazing as a shampoo, and we didn’t even have to get his hair wet first. I simply pumped some soap into my hands and applied it directly to his hair. A quick rinse and we were done.
Not only have I been using this soap on Baby V, but I also took it with me as a hand sanitizer! No water means I can wash my hands quickly on the go, and this stuff really did the trick. My hands didn’t even feel greasy or sticky afterward. It totally beats the smell of commercial hand santizer.
As most of you know, we’re expecting baby #2 around here. Now that I’m cruising through the 2nd trimester, it seems like my belly is growing by the day.
All that growing has me stretching… and itching… and needing some intense moisture. I definitely found that and more in Raise Them Well’s Baby Belly Balm. I’m loving the ingredient list because I’m extra picky about what goes on my skin when I’m pregnant. Not only do the products I use affect me, but baby as well.
So again, here’s the ingredient list:
In my opinion, couldn’t be more perfect. Natural oils, beeswax, a vegetable based emulsifying wax, and water.
I know many pregnant moms who stick only to prenatal vitamins while pregnant, but so many times our bodies do not get enough magnesium. This can lead to those awful leg cramps and more aches and pains.
Plus, magnesium is wonderful for skin. I’ve been using this cream everyday for a month now and look at that belly!
The cream feels light and airy, but really spreads to cover the body easily. It has the calming scent of Lavender essential oil (my favorite!) and is ultra relaxing. Here’s the inside of my jar:
The only downside is that this cream is a little pricey. It is definitely more than I would spend on myself, but it has lasted quite a long time. After using it (generously) for a month, I’m not even halfway through my jar.
I think it’s a great shower gift or gift from a husband to wife during pregnancy. A little bit of pampering definitely helps to ease some of the more uncomfortable struggles of pregnancy.
If you are looking for other non-toxic products, you can find Raise Them Well on Amazon and their product listing on their website. They just came out with an awesome Prenatal Vitamin, and they have quite a few other natural products for children and adults. They definitely get my stamp of approval.
